Siddington with Preston WI, Thursday 21st September at 7.30pm in Elizabeth Way Community Room

Pearls: “A Passion for Pearls” is a lively and entertaining talk about the history, the science, myths and legends of the world’s most secretive and only living gemstone, the pearl. Going back over 5000 years, pearls have been associated with wisdom, power, wealth and beauty and this talk is illustrated by letting you handle pearls of all colours, shapes and sizes.

This talk promises to be a fascinating and sometimes hilarious glimpse into a world of beautiful jewellery and mystery.

As usual the guests are welcome. There will be raffle, tea and biscuits. Please contact Ann on 01285 641469 if you require further information.
